Utilising the building ratio allowed for the 259sq.m. of plot, the result is one retail shop with mezzanine on the ground floor, parking spaces at the back of the building, a spacious two bedroom apartment on the 1st floor and a duplex three bedroom apartment on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
To achieve the maximum result, the structural elements had to “move out of the way”, therefore two strong cores at the front and back of the building were designed, with the living spaces suspended between them without any columns in between.
